Lorís Simón Salum (Mexico City, 1988) graduated from Rice University with a BA in Psychology. Shortly after, she joined Literal Magazine where she wrote, directed and co-produced the documentary feature, Ensoulment: A Diverse Analysis of the Feminine in Western Culture. After numerous awards and worldwide screenings, Lorís opened Literal’s first international short film festival, Literally Short Film Festival. In 2016 she earned a Business Certification from Columbia University in New York City. Lorís continues to work as director and programmer at Literally Short; she enjoys chocolate, movies, and deeply believes that dogs are people too.
